We can’t wait to get married and celebrate with the people we care about most
Järnboås is a small town north of Örebro. A short drive from where Felix spent his summers growing up, and an hour from Agnes’s childhood home.
Celebration: Finnsjöstrand, Nora
Ceremony: Gammelhyttan 102
Finnsjöstrand bygdegård
There are 10-15 shared sleeping spaces with shared bathrooms at the event venue. It's free, but we'll ask those who stay here to help out with breakfast. Bring your own bedsheets and towels.
Bring a tent
There is lots of space at Finnsjöstrand to put up tents. There are bathrooms and one shower (or if you prefer to wash-up in the lake).
Airbnb cottages
We've pre-booked houses in the area, 3-9 min drive away. Min walking distance 30 min. Around 2000 sek/night for the whole cottage, great for small groups. Let us know which one you'd like to book! View cottages.
Hotels in Nora
Lilla Hotellet i Nora and Nora stadshotell are a 20 min drive away. There's no public transport so you have to drive or get a taxi. Both are around 1600 sek/night incl. breakfast.
Hostel in Nyhyttan
Nyhyttans Kurort is a 10-minute drive away (not a walkable distance). Around 800 sek/night for two people with breakfast included.
Since Järnboås is remote, we recommend driving whenever possible.
Driving
There is lots of parking at Finnsjöstrand and by the ceremony location. If you’re happy to give someone a lift, or would like a lift, we've made a spreadsheet to help you coordinate shared cars or taxis.
Taxis
Järnboås doesn't have many taxis, so you probably want to book ahead at Vasselhyttans taxi +46 581-102 10. 500 sek + taximeter for all trips in the area.
Train
You can get a train to Örebro and then a bus to Nora (takes about 2h 45min from Stockholm). You'd then need to get a taxi from Nora to Finnsjöstrand, which should take around 20 min (or ask someone to pick you up).
Join for barbeque and light drinks at 17:00 on Friday, June 6. Our barbecue master Leopoldo will make sure you're taken care of.
Later we'll host a chess simul (a simultaneous chess exhibition), where Felix will play anybody who wants to, all at once (a dream of his). Bring a chess board if you have one!
Agnes's family will also host a dance course teaching one of Agnes's favorite Swedish dances, set to old Swedish folk tunes. It's a flowy, intuitive dance with few rights and wrongs—watch an example here.
For those who don't want to play chess or dance there will be lots of other things to do: going for a swim, relaxing in the sauna, or just getting to know someone new.
We love speeches! If you want to treat us to a speech, song, or dance—message our toastmasters Isak or Ronja.

Ronja Löfström: ronja.lofstrom@hotmail.com +46733455231
Our friend Hanna Nordquist will also be around to take care of logistics on the day of, and will be your go-to person for any questions during the weekend. You can contact her at +46708191092
Wear something festive and summery that you love! If you're unsure, here is a guide for "semi-formal". We’ll be outside for most of the celebration, so bring a warm sweater, swimwear, a towel, and shoes for walking on grass. Friday and Sunday are both casual, (but Felix and Agnes will dress up a bit on Friday anyway).
Many of you are traveling far to celebrate with us. Your presence is the best gift and all we ask for. If you'd still like to congratulate us with a gift, we've set up a wedding fundraiser for charities that make a real difference.
When is the RSVP deadline?
Deadline is April 21st, but RSVP as soon as you know so we can plan accordingly!
When and where is the wedding?
We're getting married in Järnboås, in a modernised 1600s building, Gammelhyttan 102. The ceremony starts at 3 PM on Saturday, June 7. There is no official end time and we hope the celebrations and dancing will go on late into the night.
You're welcome to join us for barbecue from 5 PM the day before, Friday June 6 at Finnsjöstrand, and for Sunday brunch from 11 AM at Finnsjöstrand.
Can I bring my date?
Because of limited space at the ceremony location, we're only able to accommodate partners we've explicitly named on your invitation. We genuinely wish we could invite everyone’s significant others, but there are just too many wonderful people in our lives and we have to prioritize those we already know really well.
Can I bring my kid?
If they're less than one year old, or if they're still breastfeeding, yes! Otherwise only Agnes's nieces will attend.
What should I wear?
Wear something festive and summery that you love! If you're unsure we found a guide here for "semi-formal". We’ll be outside for most of the celebration, so bring a warm sweater, swimwear, a towel, and shoes for walking on grass. Friday and Sunday are both casual (but Felix and Agnes will dress up a bit on Friday anyway).
Where should I stay?
You can stay at Finnsjöstrand, bring a tent, stay in a nearby Airbnb, hostel or a hotel further away. Read more here. Järnboås doesn't have many taxis, so if you're not staying within walking distance, then you'll need to book ahead.
Check out our Travel section for more info.
Where should I park?
There will be plenty of free parking at Finnsjöstrand, and also by a school close to Gammelhyttan 102.
Where can I find out about carpools?
We've made a sheet to help you coordinate shared cars/taxis.
If you have spare seats or are hoping to find a carpool, fill in the sheet here.
What's happening on Saturday morning before the ceremony?
If you're arriving on Friday night, Saturday morning will be very relaxed. Feel free to use the time to catch up with friends, meet new ones, go for a walk, explore Järnboås, go for a swim, relax in the sauna, play some football—the options are endless!
Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?
Yes! We would love for you to take photos and share them with us. However, we may ask you to put your phone away during parts of the ceremony.
I want to give a speech, do I need to tell someone?
Yayy! We love speeches. Just let our toastmasters know so they can plan the evening.
Is the food vegan?
Yes, everything will be vegan! We're so excited about our chef Jonna (ex-punk band drummer, vegan, and chef for 25 years). There will also be gluten-free options, just let us know about your allergies when you RSVP.
Will there be breakfast?
Yes! For the people staying at Finnsjöstrand and nearby Airbnbs we'll serve breakfast on Saturday. On Sunday we'll serve brunch, anyone can join!
Will there be lunch on Saturday?
Yes, we'll serve an informal lunch at 12:30 at Finnsjöstrand before the ceremony. Agnes and Felix won't attend.
What is a chess simul and do I have to join?
A chess simul (a simultaneous chess exhibition) is when one player plays multiple games at a time. We’d love for as many people as possible to play against the groom, but there is no pressure. Bring your own chess board if you have one.
What's the dance course and do I have to join?
Agnes's family will teach one of Agnes's favorite Swedish dances, set to old Swedish folk tunes. It's a flowy, intuitive dance with few rights and wrongs—watch an example here.
